Art is an extra-curricular subject taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The class is accessible only to third year students and above. The subject is taken in a classroom on the fifth floor.[1] As there is also a Muggle Art class, it can be presumed that this class covers art of the Wizarding world.
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, during the sorting ceremony, a male teacher is seen wearing a beret, a symbol of the arts. This may mean that he teaches Art or Muggle Art.
- This class may also teach wizarding photography i.e. the science of producing moving photos.
