The Ministry has had to render several forests unplottable in the country for the sole use of the Runespoor.
In 2006, the Burkinabé Ministry of Magic was briefly headed by Joshua Sankara, Seeker for the Burkinabé National Quidditch team, which had won the Quidditch World Cup that year. Sankara, however, resigned two days after taking office, pointing out he would much rather play Quidditch.[1]
