Edward "Eddie" Carmichael (born c. 1978-1979) is a wizard who began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1990. He was sorted into Ravenclaw house, and achieved nine "Outstandings" in his O.W.L exams. He claimed his success was down to Baruffio's Brain Elixir, and attempted to sell it to younger students. Hermione Granger stopped him and confiscated the potion.[1]
Etymology[]
The name "Eddie" or "Eddy" is a diminutive for Edward, Edmund, Edgar, Edsel or Edwin. It is also occasionally used as a given name on its own.
