In the spring of 1994, Harry Potter snuck into Hogsmeade village using the Marauder's Map and his Cloak of Invisibility. With Ron Weasley's help, he was able to tour the village while invisible. They stopped at the post office, and Ron pretended to check on the price to send an owl to his brother Bill Weasley in Egypt in order to give Harry time to look around.
