George William Frederick, more commonly known as George III, was king of Great Britain and Ireland from 25 October, 1760 to 29 January, 1820.
In his later life, George III suffered from mental illness. In 1782, his Prime Minister at the time, Lord North, confidentially sought the assistance of the Minister for Magic Porteus Knatchbull for assistance in curing this disease. However, the only cause of this was that Lord North was forced to resign once rumour spread that he believed in wizards.[1]
