"Is this all real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"
The subject of this article is a real-life person, company, product, or creative work that has been mentioned "in-universe" in a canon source. The Harry Potter Compendium is written from the perspective that all information presented in canon is true (e.g., Hogwarts really exists), and, as such, details contained in this article may differ from real world facts. |
The London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo, located in Regent's Park in London. Among the zoo's exhibits is a reptile house, which contains a Burmese python that was bred in captivity.
Behind the scenes[]
- The London Zoo appears in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone as the zoo that Harry Potter and the Dursley family visit. However, this cannot be considered canon, as, in the novel, Harry notes that he had never been to London before upon travelling there to shop at Diagon Alley. Thus, the zoo in question must be a different zoo.
