Lucy Hurst was a Gryffindor[3] student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1990s. During the 1996–1997 school year, she competed in the school Exploding Snap tournament, and also played informal Quidditch matches with other students.

Etymology[]
Lucy is of Latin origin and it's meaning is "light". Feminine form of Lucius; vernacular form of Lucia. The feast day of Saint Lucy (fourth century), patroness of sight, is called the Festival of Light in Sweden. Lucy can also be short for Lucille.
