Moribund's was a small shop located in Knockturn Alley. It was located next to the The Spiny Serpent, and opposite Borgin and Burkes. The shop was named after its keeper, Moribund.
The door to the shop was locked during the summer of 1992, when Harry Potter tried to open it during an accidental visit to Knockturn Alley. The contents of this shop are unknown, but through the small window there was an orange glowing light, indicating that the shop was open, despite its front door being locked.
Behind the scenes[]
The name Moribund comes from Latin moribundus, and means literally "dying", although the modern English usage of moribund is often with the sense of "stagnant" or "apathetic".
