The Potion-Mixing Room is a potions laboratory located in the Dungeons of Hogwarts Castle. It is used by advanced Potions students.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

This room only appears on the GBC version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. On the following GBC instalment, it is replaced by Severus Snape's storeroom.
It is possible, though it is never directly suggested in canon, that given the presence of the four alchemical elements (represented on the stone floor) — Fire, Earth, Air and Water — this room might be used for Alchemy lessons.
