Sony is an electronics company based in Tokyo, Japan.[1] In 2011, Sony partnered with J. K. Rowling to create Pottermore, an online reading experience centred around the Harry Potter books.[2] As part of this partnership, they released Wonderbook: Book of Spells, an augmented reality book, for their PlayStation 3 console in the holiday season of 2012, and followed this up with Wonderbook: Book of Potions.
In April of 2014, Sony ceased its partnership with Pottermore, leaving the latter to operate as an independent entity.[3]
