At some point in his life, Professor Aragon became the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[3]

Professor Aragon died sometime before 1993.[1] There were portraits of the professor hung at the Grand Staircase[4] and one at the Headmaster's office[3] in order to give advice to the current Head.

Behind the scenes[]

Etymology[]

Walter is from a Germanic name, meaning "ruler of the army", composed of the elements wald, "rule" and hari, "army". The Normans brought it to England, where it replaced the Old English cognate Wealdhere. A famous bearer of the name was Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832), a Scottish novelist who wrote 'Ivanhoe' and other notable works.
